More than just buildings and infrastructure, cities are places where people have their homes and live out their lives.
Social connections between individuals in the city create a mosaic of different, interdependent communities.
Dublin City Volunteer Week celebrates the vibrancy and vitality brought by voluntary action to the life of the city.
Dublin City Volunteer Week is an annual week of events and festivities that celebrate, recognise and showcase the diverse
and exciting ways in which people in Dublin engage with their communities through voluntary action.
The initiative highlights the positive impact of volunteering in the life of our capital city.
Established in 2007, Dublin City Volunteer Week takes its theme from the current European Year and coincides with uk Volunteers' Week.
Events are organised throughout the week by Volunteering Ireland.
A focus on community participation also encourages organisations to create their own events.
If you are an organisation, please let your volunteers know about this year's series of events, special offers and opportunities!
